Senior PPC / Media Account Manager

Reporting to: Group Account Director
Main purpose of the role
This is a fantastic role for someone with a proven track record in building relationships with clients and impeccable skills in digital strategy, paid search marketing, and display planning and buying. As a senior account manager, you will be responsible for developing the digital strategy and online programmes for your clients, by providing high quality support, account management and great results.
The role of Senior Account Manager will see you second in command to the group account director and you will play a large part in the successful management of the team. You will be managing a number of online campaigns for different clients and will be able to prioritise your time effectively, ensuring all work is done to the highest standard and all deadlines are met.
You will have mastered the necessary skills for successful digital campaign management and development, taking into account broader marketing factors, such as competitor activity, offline advertising and seasonality. Equally important, you will be experienced in building strong relationships with your clients, founded on mutual confidence, trust and respect.
You will report into a group account director, taking on responsibility for helping them in the management of the team and its’ clients. You will be expected to build up your own portfolio of clients and to offer support to the other members of the team.
Competencies of the role:
· Client account management experience gained in an agency environment.
· An excellent working knowledge of paid search gained from managing complex search campaigns, with the ability to plan, implement, manage and develop client campaigns.
· A practical experience and knowledge of strategy, planning, and buying, digital media campaigns including display and email.
· A proven understanding of direct marketing techniques and approaches.
· Good people management skills.
· A good and practical knowledge of how third party adserving works would be useful, but training can be given.
· Good written and verbal presentation skills.
Job Description
· To be responsible for the strategy, management and development of a number of online accounts, including:
· Working alongside your group account director to maximise the cost effective spend, results and agency income from your accounts.
· Taking and developing client briefs.
· Preparing and presenting digital media and paid search strategies and plans.
· Identifying creative requirements, and managing the creative process with the agency creative team.
· Providing results reporting, analysis and insight.
· Media planning and buying.
· In depth paid search campaign management, optimisation and development.
· Liaising with publishers.
· Management of client budgets and campaign credit control.
· Answering client questions and queries, quickly and effectively.
· Identifying and developing new opportunities for the team’s and agency clients.
· Developing excellent working relationships with your clients.
· Helping and support the group account director with the management of the team.
· Providing cover for the group account director and other members of the team when they are away from the office.
· Helping with new business pitches.
This is not an exhaustive list, and you will be expected to be flexible in your approach to carrying out your duties. These may changes from time to time to reflect changes in the company’s circumstances and our clients’ requirements.
The role will be based in our Ipswich office but you will be required to travel to other offices, including those of our clients, suppliers and our other company locations as required.
Our working hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm but due to the industry you will be expected to be flexible as and when workload requires.
