Travel Owl (consultancy)
Background:Travel Owl, a new travel consumer review website, approached Cheeze in the autumn of 2006, specifically looking for support and help with the aim of growing their site. The agency's first approach was a strategic one; to build solid foundations for all future promotional campaigns.
The initial work collaborated with the client to understand the value of a visitor, based on different income streams that the site could achieve. By understanding this figure, a plan could be developed to estimate the recruitment cost of a profitable visitor which in-turn dictated the initial media choices and campaign strategy. The overall strategy included delivering cost and income projections as the site grew over time.
Other recommendations included solutions to help boost the potential income per visitor and methods for naturally boosting the visitors through harnessing the power of social networks such as Flickr (see http://www.flickr.com/groups/travelowl/) natural search and other '2.0' channels.
